An Afternoon in Monaco

By Susan of Wardrobe

We took an hour long train to Monaco from Cannes. Monaco is the second smallest country in the world. It’s population is 35,986 and it has a Prince. His name is Prince Albert II. Dad said that Monaco is where lots of the rich people come and live. The people in Monaco speak French.

We started our day by walking to a pizza shop and we ate some Hawaiian pizza. Then we walked some more and saw some people setting up the world famous Grand Prix. The Grand Prix de Monaco is a Formula 1 car race known to be one of the most important and popular car races in the world because of its glamour and prestige.

We walked by the bay and tried to catch some fish with our net. While we were by the water we saw lots of rich fancy yachts. This was my favourite thing we did in Monaco.

We only got to spend a little bit of time in Monaco and I think if we stayed longer I would have liked it more.

Just came across your blog from FOTR! You are living our dream (although we haven’t dreamed so big as the world…thinking more North America). We live just south of Edmonton. What are the chances of a coffee before you are off again? Would love to converse about how to live the dream…
